I use a liquid foundation and creme concealer, along with powder. Although it covers the redness of my blemishes, I think the powder makes them look more stick out more on my face and I can't figure out how to not look so caked... I want a natural, dewy look. Blemish spots: chin and between eyebrows. any help? :)Makeup recommendations for oily, acne prone skin?
K well i have used to have tooons of acne before i started using this makeup and proactiv at the same time, but anyways i ll name the make up i use right now (and its all non-comedogenic, which means it dosent clog pores.)
-maybelline pure makeup foundation (in a blue squeezy bottle)
-physicians formula green concealer stick (works REEEALLY well; it neutralizes redness.)
-cover girl fragrance-free pressed powder (the green case, not black)
instead of using the little pad thing that the pressed powder comes with, i brush it on with a kabuki brush (sometimes its called a dome brush) and that makes it go on lighter and not as cakey.
also if you dont want your blemishes to seem so swollen or stickey-outey, hold an ice cube wrapped in a kleenex on it for like 5 mins and it will not be as swollen!
hope i helped . :)Makeup recommendations for oily, acne prone skin?
Try Bare Minerals or some of the other mineral foundations. They are natural, wont clog pores, and dont have chemicals like other kinds. They cover well without making skin breakout more. Honestly I think you are probably putting too much stuff on your face and the skin cant breathe to heal itself. The mineral makeup actually doesnt look dry on your skin. The condition of your acne may actually improve after you begin using it. Also make sure you are using a good cleanser that is getting all your makeup off afterwards. Check out WalMart. they have an acne wash etc. its supposed to be better than proactiv and all that stuff. I tried it b4 and loved it. I dont remember the name but its in an orange box and has bloe and white lettering. Its not Neutrogena. Darn i cant remember!
i have naturally oily skin %26amp; i use clinique powder %26amp; it covers all the oil that develops throughout the day with one application. to cover the redness of your blemises just poor a drop of visine or eye drops onto it, sounds weird, but it does get rid of the redness. use a brush to apply powder instead so it wont look as cakey.
:-)
do not use MAC if you are oily and have acne prone skin. trust me i have the same problem try mineral makeup like pur minerals. you can buy some at ULTA or on their website at purminerals.com. i swear to you its better then bare essentials and MAC. it has great coverage, they have all acne stuff like primer, acne solutions, concealors, and all that jazz. i use pur minerals and that stuff covers my redness and after using it i have NO pimples whatsoever. so try it and tell me what u think. hope that helps!
i have the some problem i'd recommend clinique makeup.. they will try it on you match it your skin tone. What i did was try it on then told her i would walk around the mall a bit it stayed on and didnt cake so i went back and bought it.
I also use Bare minerals foundation it covers up doesnt cake but if you rub your face a lot it will come off easily so walk around with it.
hope it helps
For acne prone your skin is most likely oily so put a primer on.MAC
Then try MAC liquid face and body bcuz its water base.
Then use MAC select cover up concealer.
Then MAC select powder.
Then spray MAC fix+ on to make it look less cakey and dewy.
Make sure to get your color check to get the right shade because if you dont the pimple will stand out more.
Foundation and Mascaras are great products to invest on=D
