Oily skin (either from own skin, or makeup)?

I have really oily skin, and im not sure if its my skin type, or the maekup i use.

I use a liquid coverup just over my pimples - covergirl. So its possible its my makeup.

Otherwise, its my skin type. I have combination skin - pimples on my forhead, around/on my nose (a bit), and in metween my lip and the bottom of my nose. Any good products??

Help! :)Oily skin (either from own skin, or makeup)?
PIMPLES are itself a sign of oily skin.. u must have also heard that if u inhale a lot of oil it could result in pimples~~~%26gt;%26gt;

I WOULD TELL U ITS UR SKIN TYPE.. USE MOISTURISER%26gt;%26gt; it holds the oil of ya skin n does not let it show up..

1. wash ya face~~

2. after half an hour apply astringent/toner(to close the pores that open when u wash ya face)

3. after sum time mix ya foundation with moisturiser n put it on ya face..

4. to cover up xtra oil always carry a compact with you.. n apply it anytime u feel like..

in summers u could replace moisturiser mixed with foundation to sunscreen mixed with it..!!%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;

but be sure u apply a moisturiser... that is what controls ur oil glands...!!Oily skin (either from own skin, or makeup)?
Yes it鈥檚 more likely that you have an oily skin than a combination one.

Oily skin is shiny, dull coloured and is prone to pores, pimples, troublesome blemishes and blackheads. In this type of skin, the oil producing sebaceous glands are overactive and produce more oil than is needed. The oil oozes and gives the skin a greasy shine. The pores are enlarged and the skin has a coarse look. Many reasons can cause oily skin and related problems like heredity, hormone levels, cosmetics you use and humid whether. Teenagers are more prone to oily skin and breakouts because of the age related body changes. In your case since you have not mentioned your age and climate you are living in, its not possible to tell the exact cause for your problem. To deal with oily skin problem you should do the following

1) Wash your face with plain water 3-4 times daily. Dry it with dabbing lightly.

2) Twice a day wash your face with face wash meant for oily skin, choose a branded product. Garnier, Oriflame have some good ones. After washing wait for 15 min and then apply an astringent. After 15-20 min apply a moisturiser meant for combination to oily skin or any oil free moisturiser.

3) Avoid fried food especially deep fried,animal fats and heat processes vegetable oils. Take plenty of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Increase your fluid intake. Fiber and fluid helps in detoxification process of the body and thus makes your skin healthy and glowing.

4) Every week take steam for 5 min and use a pack made of multani mitti (mud pack available in grocery shop) mixed with cucumber juice,leave it till it drys and wash of with plain water.

5) Try these for 40 days religiously and see the difference. During this time try to avoid using make up, but if you have to, then use just compact with a slightly wet sponge that also not too much.

If this routine does not work or if you want to use any otc or other medicated stuff pls. see a dermatologist
its natural
Laurenn ,use a good cleanser which is preferably gel based .wash your face at least 3 or 4 times with cold water. take ice cubes rap it in a cloth and rub it till it melts.you can also use some good face wash .start consuming SAFI its a good medicine.
PEOPLE WITH OILY SKIN AVOID MAKE UP AS IT WORSEN THE PIMPLES .................NOTE THIS THING

Apply a mixture of half a teaspoon of limejuice and cucumber juice atleast 30 minutes before bath. In case the skin is too oily, adding a few drops of eau de cologne will help in refining the skin pores, thereby acting as astringent and preventing pimples. Applying cucumber juice (before doing a make-over) on the parts of the face that tends to get oily, will help the face from looking patchy due to excess oil in certain parts. But cucumber juice should be completely dry before applying make-up.

Mud/clay mask is best suited for oily skin types. One teaspoon of clay powder (green) and a teaspoon of raw honey should be blended well, and the mixture can be applied on the face and left for fifteen minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. This is safe enough to be repeated at least thrice a week.

Applying dilute lemon juice (equal portions of juice and water) and rinsing it with lukewarm water and then again with cool water is also good enough for oily skin. Aloe vera gel has good healing properties and can be applied as and when needed. Similarly, lavender is also proven to be good for oily skin and can be used several times a day.

A facial steaming using licorice root, rosebuds and lemongrass twice or thrice a week is good. The said herbs should be fresh enough and be simmered in about two pints of water. As the pot is steaming, place it in a comfortable table or potholder and sit within a comfortable distance, facing the pot, with a towel to trap the steam, if needed. After steaming for about fifteen minutes, splash some cool water on the face and pat dry. After this, the herbal solution, could be used as a toner and massaged into the skin using a ball of cotton.

Burdockroot, horsetail, oatstraw, thyme, chamomile, and Witch hazel are other herbs that are good for oily skins.
pimples is a very common problem in the teen age.it is due to various hormonal changes that takes place in the body.people with oily skin face more problem with pimples when compared to those who have normal or dry skin.when too much of oil or dirt is accumulated on the skin then it enters the pores of the skin and appears in the form of a pimple.to avoid pimples and oily skin the following points should be taken care after.
