Does ALL makeup destroy skin?!?

My skin is okay, except I have some unwanted pores and blemishes. Each day I cleanse my face 2 times, and moisturize two times after washing. I'm turning 14 on May 18th and I think I'm old enough to wear a tinted moisturizer. I don't like foundation since it make my face feel heavy and masked. But anyways, would a tinted moisturizer such as CG smoothers damage my skin, if I use it for the day, at school?? Thanksss. :]Does ALL makeup destroy skin?!?
Any makeup which isn't natural is actually bad for the skin, and can cause more blemishes, and skin irritation. This can vary depending how sensitive your skin is, which you won't know until you wear makeup.

Look for makeup that advertises being made with minerals. The kind sold at your local stores likely aren't completly made with minerals, and still have bad ingredients but is better than the typical makeup. For example, one natural makeup company I know was started by a woman was making eyeshadow, and dropped an ingredient, and it ate through her lab table. If it does that to a table, do you want it on your face?

Mineral makeup is also lighter, and you won't feel that you're wearing it. For store makeup, I suggest Physicans Makeup. It seems to the best store makeup, I have seen. It's made with minerals, and included lots of vitamins to help your skin. It also goes on very light, so you won;t notice it.

If you want the best mineral makeup, I highly suggest Bare Minerals. It's a hundred percent good for you. It's so pure that you can sleep in it. And it clears up any skin problems you have. I actually break out when I DON'T wear it regularly. You can get online, from QVC, or from Sephora.

If you want something in between pricewise, try you local Ukrops, or a health food store (Whole Foods, etc.) They both sell mineral makeup which is good for you, and usually have a vast selection. Your health food store will have more, and everything there is going to be good for you.

Good luck, and happy early birthday!Does ALL makeup destroy skin?!?
All you can do is try it!!! If you experience a break-out or a rash, never use that particular product again! For your first time using a tinted moisturizer, try one for sensitive skin! Good luck!!!
Not all foundations can damage your skin. The trick is to select one that is designed for your skin type. At 14, a tinted moisturizer is probably more suited to your needs. select one that works for your skin type, i.e., if you have oily skin, pick one designed for oily skin. Same with dry skin. Make sure you keep your skin clean, DO NOT sleep in any makeup as this will clog pores. Also a good skin care regimen is very important. one of the simplest is cleanser, toner, moisturizer. If you have oily skin, do NOT use a toner with alcohol as it only dries out the surface and makes it flaky. It also increases the oil production. Another consideration in choosing a tinted moisturizer is look for one that includes sunscreen. This will help protect your skin from sun damage. For your pores and blemishes you may want to massage and mask you face twice a week. There are peel off masks that work well, battery operated facial massagers, mud masks, and also a face brush.
cg smoothers is a good tinted moisturizer and will not harm your skin. it also has spf so it will protect your skin. go for it.
Not ALL make up destroys skin. Nowadays, brands are coming out with light and healthy make up for better skin. But the chance are they aren't that cheap.
Not all makeup is bad for your skin. It seems like you have oily skin, so you should use an oil control lotion. Something with silica in it. That will help minimize pores and control the oil output. I also don't recommend tinted moisturizer because if you don't have perfect skin, the makeup just looks streaky... I'd use a powder foundation, or a water based foundation. I'd stay away from liquid just because on problem skin it just makes the problems more pronounced. I hate to plug my own company, but I know their products best. I'd use a M.A.C Studio Tech, or Studio Fix Powder foundation. It won't mess with your skin, and it'll give you a great match, and an even better looking finish. Go to any M.A.C store and they can help you pick out the right color, and show you how to apply it! Good luck!
well actually not all the make up you wear can damage your skin but just buy the brand name ones
it might block your pores if your very oily or you wear it when its hot or during exercise, but it DEFINATLY wont 'destroy' your skin lol. get a 'noncosmonogenic' one, so it wont block your pores, and use skincare for blocked pores and blemish prone skin.
Everything in this world had advantages %26amp; disadvantages it is your choice to use it anot.at your early stage of teens blemishes is normal just keep your skin clean u probably won't get pimples...
Honey, when I was your age I was so excited to wear makeup. I learned very quickly that a little black mascara and some lip gloss goes a looooong way. Unless you have horrific skin, stay away from cover-up, foundation or tinted anything.
Its all good these days, just don't buy noname...
no theres this stuff on tv called bare mineralls and its actually good for your skin and makes you look really good!
