Makeup for dry skin with acne?

I have acne prone, oily, dry skin, if you can beleive it. It is actually dry yet oily everywhere-Not just T-zone, ect.





Does anyone know any good foundations for that? Right now I am useing: Covergirl TruBlend Make up in Ivory.


Which just makes my face look sorta flaky.

i would recommend bare minerals by bare escentuals, and as moisturizer hope in a jar for dry, sensitive skin by philosophy. i have been using both for years, and my skin looks a lot better now.

The way your face looks in your make up is all contingent on how well u take care of it. When I come across a client that has acne and oily skin. The first think I tell them to do is get a good cleanser. You want to get a gel type or liquid. Dont use any paste or bars because the overly dry ur skin. I use Olay cleanser toner gel. Its a wonderful product and it works on all my clients. 5 dollars at ULTA or Sephora. ( maybe Walmart) Next the best moisturizer is a skin cream. NEVER LOTION. lotion is oil based and it clings to your pores cauing your acne to spread. You wanna get any type of Vitamin E cream. Something that isnt to thick . After u wash ur face use it very sparingly. Think of it as giving your foundation a smooth layer to sit on instead of your skin. This helps remove makeup and lets skin stay moisturized. Now ur ready for a good foundation. I work for MAC but I personally use maybeline's Matte Mousse for some everyday where. Its gives the skin some airbrushed look and is very lightweight and easy for a begginer to apply. Good luck have fun and remember ur beautiful already
Try RIMMEL DREAM MATTE. it is really good and feels light on your face. you can find it almost anywhere.
you should try putting on a moisturizer before putting on your make-up. then try mineral wear foundation or powder. the powder will show the flakiness, but it will be better for your acne. and the liquid foundation will show less of the flakes but it will clog your pores more. so try Peter-Thomas-Roth botanical buffing beads one a day at night, that should take care of the flakiness. and get a moisturizer that doesn't enhance the oil on your skin(try a drug store). good luck with having beautiful skin!
Bare-Minerals foundation is my favorite. Moisturizer is key though, with any foundation you use. If your face is dry, any type of foundation has the potential to look flaky, no matter how good it may be.
