I think the best Powder to set your makeup is Corn Silk. Have used it for years, get the loose translucent. It will help with the oily skin. It's made by Sally Hansen.Summer makeup...oily skin..please help!!!!?
hm...since you only apply a little foundation, then you might try using some tinted moisturizer, and there's waterproof cream liner that you could use instead of the kohl. It still smudges a bit in the first few minutes after you apply it, so you could try creating the same look with that.

Hope I answered your question somewhat =)
you have combination skin. all that means is that you've got dry and oily skin, probably depending on your diet, make-up choice, the weather, etc. you should probably find a good matte foundation rather than a cream stick because they tend to melt right off during humid summer months. try a shade lighter in Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse (only about $8.00)...this stuff is fantastic, it goes on creamy and moisturizing and then dries to a smooth powder finish. Also, invest in some 'blotting' papers that you can dab the oil off your face with during the day. (E.L.F. has really good ones for $1.00)

After you've applied your foundation, going less on the chine, t-zone, and jawline (those are the places that get the oiliest, I find) Clean it up with the pressed powder of your choice with a foundation brush (those big coverage brushes) Find a water-proof liner in a deep espresso brown rather than black...it'll look a lot softer for summer. (try CoverGirl Perfect Point liner) Top it off with a nude lip gloss of your choice and some waterproof mascara and you're good to go.
1. Try a waterproof pencil liner

Lots of makeup companies make 'em just look it up.

2. As for foundation, a cream isn't gonna work well.

Revlon Colorstay has 20 shades and lasts for 16 hours! They even have one for oily/combination skin...it's on the bottle.

usually at high end spas

and a hint- dont over dry face with products cause your skin will just over produce oil -

use cream blushes and eye colors
#1-Apply makeup after smoothing an oil-free moisturizer all over your face and before applying any other makeup. In very hot weather, rely on primer to keep your makeup in place and use less foundation, which is heavier and more likely to melt off. Unless, bareMinerals, that stuff doesn't come off in heat or water.

#2-Refrigerate your primer. When you apply it to your face, the cooling affect reduces puffiness. Plus, the crisp feel provides an invigorating start to your day, and the refrigeration conserves the makeup longer.

#3-Switch from foundation to tinted moisturizer, or use a blend of the two. Blending lets you update your foundation color to match your summer skin tone, which is usually a bit darker due to increased sun exposure. Plus, the texture of a blend will be more sheer, more natural and lighter than just foundation, so your skin will breathe and glow. A tinted moisturizer alone is even lighter and looks very summery.
Use an oil free moisturizer like Clean and Clear Dual Action Oil Free.

And step away from a cream stick foundation!! Go with something like Revlon Colorstay for oily/combo skin. You also need a powder to help absorb the oil. I use Sally Hansen Cornsilk and love it. I only have to touch up once during the day.

If your skin gets oily, you shouldn't be using a cream foundation - it will only make you look more oily. Cream foundation is best used on skin types that are dry-very dry. Try mineral foundation - it's really great for skin that gets oily. Mary Kay just came out with a really great one that stays on really well. I don't think you will have a problem getting your correct color - it's very versatile. You might also want to try using an oil mattifier - it absorbs oil and helps control shine. As for kohl liner, kohl is really nice, but if it's smudging then it's not the right one for you. You can get the same or similar look with a regular eye liner in the same shade you are using.
i think you need to switch to tinted moisturizer for the summer. if you must use the cream stick, set it with powder. find a waterproof kohl liner, make up for ever makes one. use make up for ever mist and fix for refreshing
