I have really really pale skin and super red cheeks and blueish gray eyes..any makeup tips for me?

i really need a change up from my usual makeup routune...concealer, eyeliner, mascara...i need to know good colors for my face and lips...ect..I have really really pale skin and super red cheeks and blueish gray eyes..any makeup tips for me?
I tell this to everyone, you must moisterize your skin before applying anything to your face. Find one that works with your skin type. Apply your foundation with a brush not a sponge. You a paint pot or shade stick (ones from MAC thats what they are called) or a creme eyeshadow with sheen in it in a natural color on your eyes, apply your eyeshadow, make sure you do a a lighter in the corner of your eyes, than a darker on the outside to create more depth. Get a dark eyeshadow or black, use and eyeliner brush and do the underneath of your eyes. I always just use a neutral tone on my lips, mauve-ish I suppose, but that color works for me. Go into Sephora or MAC store and talk to them.I have really really pale skin and super red cheeks and blueish gray eyes..any makeup tips for me?
Sounds like you might have rosacea? If you're trying to even out your skin tone, then you'll need a greenish concealer. Green concealers are called corrective concealers, cuz they are for specific concealing needs. Green is opposite red on the color wheel, so it effectively neutralizes the red.

Anyways....you'll need a foundation over that. I use LA Minerals (they have the green concealer too) and it's really good stuff. I'd get some samples of the concealer and their fairest shades of foundation and try it.

Go to MAC and talk to them =) they're like totally awesome when it comes to that sort of thing =)

  • Makeup = ruin skin ??

i like to do light makeup but is it bad for your skin? if so what can i do so i can put makeup and have good skin ? thanks :]Makeup = ruin skin ??
Makeup is only bad for your skin if you use a makeup with harsh ingredients with a cleanser that doesn't get all of it off your face at the end of the day.

Most lower end makeup tends to use lower quality ingredients that may irritate skin, but there are quite a few drugstore and less expensive brands that produce affordable non-comodogenic (non pore-clogging) makeup.

Makeup is only meant to make your skin look better. You need to take good care of your skin if you actually want it to stay healthy.Makeup = ruin skin ??
Makeup enhances your beauty and the use of light makeup, which I would suggest wont ruin your skin at all. Just remember all products may not agree with your skin. So be willing to change products if that occurs. To prevent breakouts never forget to cleanse and moisturize your face before bed. Remember Moisturizers have the same ingredients as some of those expensive primers.
No, make up is not bad for your skin. The only time it could make you break out is if you have oily skin and its something that is too hydrating for you. Or of course an allergy. For the most part make up is a protective barrier between dirt, pollution and the sun. So its actually beneficial.
no makeup isnt bad for your skin. the only time makeup is bad for your skin is if you dont take it off and fall asleep with it cuz it will sink into your pores and clog them up and you will get pimples. wear your usual makeup but at night before you go to bed take off all your makeup. i usually take a shower to wash it off completely. then start a daily skin care routine. find a good cleanser some toner and moisturizer. use this every night before you go to sleep an you will have healthy skin!
Make up isn't bad for your skin, you only really get spots if your skin is oily, dry, etc...

Try using a primer before applying make-up so that it doesn't sink into the pores. Before apply any make-up, wash your face and remove any existing make-up. Also, take your make-up off before you go to sleep to 'let your skin breathe'.
Just use really good makeup remover to remove your makeup and use a face cleanser to cleanse and wash your face. Cleanse your face twice a day (once in the morning and once before you go to sleep).

    Here are my favorite products!

makeup is not bad for your skin as long as you don't use oil based stuff, don't apply too heavily and wash, tone and moisturize your skin thoroughly before and after.
Wash your face before putting anything on and wash it before going to bed, use an exfoliator 2 times a week and you shouldn't have nay problems.
Try oragnic makeup, like Physicians Formula Organic Wear. Since using these products, my skin feels and looks great-
foundation can make you break out sometimes

    because it clogs your pores

    but powders fine

    like Almay or Bare Minerals
use a primer first so it doesnt sink into your pores

I have olive skin, olive green coloured eyes and dark brown hair. What makeup should i wear on my eyes for prom?

i think any color that will make your eyes pop, like a purple or green.. to put focus on your eyes. hope this helped:) have fun at promI have olive skin, olive green coloured eyes and dark brown hair. What makeup should i wear on my eyes for prom?
I think that a blue/black mascara, brown eyeliner (so it's very subtle) and purple eyeshadow would be great.

Oh, and a clear sparkly lip gloss would look really good.I have olive skin, olive green coloured eyes and dark brown hair. What makeup should i wear on my eyes for prom?
purple would probably look really good...or maybe even a green that matches your eyes.

How to apply makeup on indian skin??

Im indian - brown skin. I

    have really nice brown

eyes, but not very defined cheekbones. What makeup should I use andhow should I apply it?? (i dont really wear much makeup, so please be specific). ThxHow to apply makeup on indian skin??
Im southeast asian and also have brown skin. I suggest using bare minerals foundation in tan. As for blush use mally shimmer, shape and glow product in peah deeper. It is pricey for $50 buck but just try their try me kit for $26. This kit will help define your cheekbones. And as for eyeshadow use a light brown over the lid and then a deeper matte brown on the lids. Take a black line and use it on the top and bottom of the eyes. Use lots of black mascara. As for the lips I suggest either a pop of pink or a neutral brown. Not anything to light or shimmery. Clinique has a great lipgloss called candy apple.

    Neutrogina Skin clearing makeup?

I was going to get the green concealer

    the foundation

and the pressed powder to set it

    is that too much makeup

will it make me break out more

Is Neutrogina Skinclearing makeup good makeup?

    Does it give good coverage?

    PLEASE HELP ME?

    ThanksNeutrogina Skin clearing makeup?
Green is only good if you have a lot of red. And make sure you only use it on the red, otherwise you will look like the Green Goblin.

I would get a yellow one too, to put under your eyes.

I think you should skip the foundation.

Only use the pressed powder, and see how it works.

If you have bad skin, you probably have oily skin. The foundation and the powder will turn into a gooey sticky mess once oil starts building on your face.

I know your first instinct if you have bad skin is to cover it, but that's worse for your skin and doesn't fool anyone.Neutrogina Skin clearing makeup?
The Liquid makeup foundation has great reviews on makeupalley.com. I wouldn't bet on it completely clearing your skin, but unless you were allergic to some of the ingredients, I wouldn't expect it to break you out. Most people say that is has nice, creamy, buildable coverage.

If you use all that makeup though, you gotta be careful. You don't want to suffocate your skin, and also, any makeup will break you out if you don't remove it properly. You likely won't need concealer, foundation AND powder. If you think your skin is THAT bad, it'd be better seeing a dermatologist than taking that risk on your skin.

    Hope this helps.
The skinclearing foundation is awesome!!!!!! It doesn't really ';clear'; your skin, but it does keep you from breaking out more. And it makes your skin look flawless even if you have a breakout. I don't even use concealer with it, unless I have a really bad zit.

Don't use the pressed powder on top. Use the loose, it is much more natural, plus it is easier to match your skin tone.

If you're worried about oiliness, u can buy oil blotting papers to use during the day. They work very well, and they don't smudge or remove your makeup.

The green concealer works well for covering redness, just be sure and blend well, or it will look goopy.

  • Does ALL makeup destroy skin?!?

My skin is okay, except I have some unwanted pores and blemishes. Each day I cleanse my face 2 times, and moisturize two times after washing. I'm turning 14 on May 18th and I think I'm old enough to wear a tinted moisturizer. I don't like foundation since it make my face feel heavy and masked. But anyways, would a tinted moisturizer such as CG smoothers damage my skin, if I use it for the day, at school?? Thanksss. :]Does ALL makeup destroy skin?!?
Any makeup which isn't natural is actually bad for the skin, and can cause more blemishes, and skin irritation. This can vary depending how sensitive your skin is, which you won't know until you wear makeup.

Look for makeup that advertises being made with minerals. The kind sold at your local stores likely aren't completly made with minerals, and still have bad ingredients but is better than the typical makeup. For example, one natural makeup company I know was started by a woman was making eyeshadow, and dropped an ingredient, and it ate through her lab table. If it does that to a table, do you want it on your face?

Mineral makeup is also lighter, and you won't feel that you're wearing it. For store makeup, I suggest Physicans Makeup. It seems to the best store makeup, I have seen. It's made with minerals, and included lots of vitamins to help your skin. It also goes on very light, so you won;t notice it.

If you want the best mineral makeup, I highly suggest Bare Minerals. It's a hundred percent good for you. It's so pure that you can sleep in it. And it clears up any skin problems you have. I actually break out when I DON'T wear it regularly. You can get online, from QVC, or from Sephora.

If you want something in between pricewise, try you local Ukrops, or a health food store (Whole Foods, etc.) They both sell mineral makeup which is good for you, and usually have a vast selection. Your health food store will have more, and everything there is going to be good for you.

Good luck, and happy early birthday!Does ALL makeup destroy skin?!?
All you can do is try it!!! If you experience a break-out or a rash, never use that particular product again! For your first time using a tinted moisturizer, try one for sensitive skin! Good luck!!!
Not all foundations can damage your skin. The trick is to select one that is designed for your skin type. At 14, a tinted moisturizer is probably more suited to your needs. select one that works for your skin type, i.e., if you have oily skin, pick one designed for oily skin. Same with dry skin. Make sure you keep your skin clean, DO NOT sleep in any makeup as this will clog pores. Also a good skin care regimen is very important. one of the simplest is cleanser, toner, moisturizer. If you have oily skin, do NOT use a toner with alcohol as it only dries out the surface and makes it flaky. It also increases the oil production. Another consideration in choosing a tinted moisturizer is look for one that includes sunscreen. This will help protect your skin from sun damage. For your pores and blemishes you may want to massage and mask you face twice a week. There are peel off masks that work well, battery operated facial massagers, mud masks, and also a face brush.
cg smoothers is a good tinted moisturizer and will not harm your skin. it also has spf so it will protect your skin. go for it.
Not ALL make up destroys skin. Nowadays, brands are coming out with light and healthy make up for better skin. But the chance are they aren't that cheap.
Not all makeup is bad for your skin. It seems like you have oily skin, so you should use an oil control lotion. Something with silica in it. That will help minimize pores and control the oil output. I also don't recommend tinted moisturizer because if you don't have perfect skin, the makeup just looks streaky... I'd use a powder foundation, or a water based foundation. I'd stay away from liquid just because on problem skin it just makes the problems more pronounced. I hate to plug my own company, but I know their products best. I'd use a M.A.C Studio Tech, or Studio Fix Powder foundation. It won't mess with your skin, and it'll give you a great match, and an even better looking finish. Go to any M.A.C store and they can help you pick out the right color, and show you how to apply it! Good luck!
well actually not all the make up you wear can damage your skin but just buy the brand name ones
it might block your pores if your very oily or you wear it when its hot or during exercise, but it DEFINATLY wont 'destroy' your skin lol. get a 'noncosmonogenic' one, so it wont block your pores, and use skincare for blocked pores and blemish prone skin.
Everything in this world had advantages %26amp; disadvantages it is your choice to use it anot.at your early stage of teens blemishes is normal just keep your skin clean u probably won't get pimples...
Honey, when I was your age I was so excited to wear makeup. I learned very quickly that a little black mascara and some lip gloss goes a looooong way. Unless you have horrific skin, stay away from cover-up, foundation or tinted anything.
Its all good these days, just don't buy noname...
no theres this stuff on tv called bare mineralls and its actually good for your skin and makes you look really good!
    no not at all

    nutragina

is good for you skin and has sunscreen too
well no acuttaley its not the make up some time ppl with senctevey skin chould easy break out with any kind of make up but cheap brand makeup causes it to i wuz like that it was the makeup though

Is makeup bad for facial skin?

Is it okay to use everyday or just once or twice a week.Is makeup bad for facial skin?
If you use it properly, it is just fine to wear it every day. However, you must remove it before you go to sleep at night, wash your face both after removing it AND before putting it on, and ALWAYS put on a moisturizer BEFORE you put on your makeup. Is makeup bad for facial skin?
i've read that powders and foundations, eyeshadows, and the stick that goes under the eye for undereye darkness, can cause premature wrinkling and aging
Depends on the ingredients. Non-comedogenic is best (doesn't promote breakouts).
Yes,all make-up is bad for skin. They label makeup, with non cosmejetic,or oil free, and I just read in a Newspaper, that they CAN label these products w/out being properly tested,(brands in stores,) They can even label them ';dermetologist tested';and it doesn't mean a thing. If the product says dermatologist recommended or certified, the product was tested. Bare Minerals,is a tested over to the max, product that is natural, and is good for your skin. Also Shiseido,IsaKnox, and other brands found only at beauty shops, and fine retailers, are better than Cover Girls,Max Factor, etc. The closest store shelved cosmetics that are great are Physicians Formula and Neautrogena. PHys formula,is the most expensive, and is put together by professionals. Neautrogena, has been trusted and dermatologist recommended for a long time, and still going strong.
i don't understand why do people even apply cosmetics, it only shows that you aren't gorgeous enough that you have to use cosmetics to make you look beautiful, that's just artificial beauty-not natural and in a way yes it is harmful to the skin, worse to use it everyday
If you wear make-up, be sure to cleanse your face before sleeping- to keep your pores clear. You should have a good cleanse/tone/moisturize regimen too. Proper skin care will help prevent problems like wrinkles and dry skin. Then, you can wear less make-up and still look great.
it depends on what make-up you use. As for foundation, I recommend a powder foundation, like barely minerals... it doesn't clog your pores, and prevents acne. It is harmless. As far as other makeup like eyeshadow, etc... it's all fine... it's tested
Don't worry. It is definitely all right to wear makeup every day. But the key is, as many people have said before me, to make sure that you have a very very good makeup remover. There are a lot of brands out there, but the company that is most famous for their skin purifiers is Shu Uemura. You can probably order their products online--the makeup removers come in four different colors, all serving different purposes. Though I'm not too familiar with the orange and the yellow, the green one is green tea based, and it's for removing heavier makeup and replenishing dry skin. The one that I use and swear by is the new pink bottle of cherry blossom based remover--it's designed for people who make light makeup and it just feels very light and airy on your skin. That's as best as I can describe it hahaha. It is kind of pricey at around sixty or seventy dollars a bottle, but the bottle is humongous and it'll last you forever.

The trick to using makeup remover is the process. You can't really rush it--that's why a lot of people get annoyed and they just want to put it on and wash it off like a facial cleanser, but that's not how it works. It goes on kind of oily and you have to massage your face, emphasizing where you put on the most makeup. Then you have to dip your fingertips in water and continue massing your face. The makeup remover will start to emulsify and look like a regular facial cleanser. Repeat the process a couple of times and then you can just rinse it off. Yeah it really takes a while, but it's worth it haha.

Follow through with a good facial cleanser, moisturizer, and toner. If you do all this then it will be perfectly all right for you to wear makeup as much as you'd like :)
hey san wearing, make, up can harm skin insome ways if your face, is too oily or if u r useing it to cover, acme, personally, just make sure, u wash it off,and give your face a breather, i hear, most, models, dont, wear, make, up ever, day, try, to find make, up thats, compatable to your, skin no, expert, but, glad, toheip, r.buttons
it can't be good because it's not natural, it has all of those chemical products that hurt your skin in the long run
Light make up with a touch of concealer, a little blush, and lip gloss will keep you looking fresh and natural. Easy application, easy going on the face too. ;)
make up does damage ur skin.. but its ok to use everyday if u take proper care of ur skin.. like cleaning all the make up before sleeping, use night cream to repair ur skin.. sometimes, when u're at home, avoid applying anything and let the skin breath, do some facial or apply masks..

it should help u keep ur skin healthy even if u wear make up everyday
Nope, makeup will dry out the skin over time and cause wrinkles.
    Not if it's mineral make-up :-)
U can use it evryday. But make sure u wash ur face with a good face wash. Mascara and eyeliner can b removed with baby oil , also other make-up.If u don't remove make-up properly it clogs the skin pores and that may lead to breakouts.Use a toner once a week. Take rosewater and dab it on a cotton swab and clean ur face. Rosewater keeps the skin glowind.

Tip: Applying blusher all the time can be irritating. Use peachy blush that is very IN (a cream one preferebly) Or a natural method is to take a small piece of beetroot and rub it gently on ur cheeks u will get a lovely pink tint!!!
    no
make up is bad for ur skin, especially foundations and powders, stay away from it as much as possible!!

What makeup would you recommend for covering dry acne prone skin?

Mary Kay Foundation. It's gentle. What makeup would you recommend for covering dry acne prone skin?
Some sort of powder foundation!!! That works really good because it makes your skin look flawless and isnt oily!!!What makeup would you recommend for covering dry acne prone skin?
Most of the time it is best if you can go without wearing a foundation as much as possible as it clogs your pores more. Washing your face daily and applying moisturizer are the best ways to keep it healthy and over time you will see a dramatic recovery. I always use a little power and some blush for a glow. If you can pull it off it is the most attractively natural way to wear make up.
Use a mineral powder foundation like clinique or laura mercier.
    smashbox liquid foundation.

heard some good reviews on that.
try a tinted moisturizer and set it with some translucent powder
Putting powder on your face will make dry skin stand out more. Look for Mary Kay products they really help with acne and dry skin. They are not oil based either so its nice and light feeling.

Philosophy's Makeup Optional kit for Congested Skin?

Has anyone ever tried this skincare kit? I have combo, somewhat acne-prone skin. I'm wondering if this kit will actually help to keep my skin clear and glowing or if will break me out.Philosophy's Makeup Optional kit for Congested Skin?
Hi Bliss, That is funny that you are asking about Philosophy. I love the product and every time I use it, I break out! I am hooked with the products but can't seem to use them all because of the breakouts. For example, hope in a jar is too greasy....most of the products for skincare are too greasy. If it Philosophy, then you can try it for a while and return it in exchange for something else. Philosophy has a money back guarantee if it is not compatible with your skin. Hopefully you bought it at a store or qvc.com, where ever, they will exchange. Get some ';grace'; shower gel, or something.

Hey, good luck and hope this helps!!Philosophy's Makeup Optional kit for Congested Skin?
my skin is dry %26amp; very sensitive, i love philosophy skincare products, and this kit was the first i've ordered. the hope in a jar moisturizer is NOT greasy whatsoever, i absolutely love purity, it cleans without irritating the skin. i usually order from qvc, their return policy is outstanding, not that i ever returned any of the philosophy, or bare mineral stuff. my skin breaks out, when a product has mineral oil in it, or other things, that irritate my skin, but i never broke out with philosophy.
i use it and i love it. i also you the micro-pads once a week and the vitamin c peel every two. i don't know what i did before i found this line. it also last forever, which is the best thing about it. if you don't like it, you can always return it. good luck.

  • Is cheap makeup harmful to skin?

I just bought this pretty big kit at JcPenny for $18.....it was half off the original price ($36). I already used some and it's not the BEST quality....but it is pretty nice and there is a lot of variety in the kit. Do you think makeup that cheap can be harmful to my skin?Is cheap makeup harmful to skin?
You can't judge anything by the price, you can buy good quality cosmetics and facial creams at almost any price. High priced cosmetics have snob appeal.

Yes, some high end eye shadows (for example) may be more finely milled and have a softer feel, or expensive lipsticks may be made from natural waxes, but for the most part you can buy less expensive cosmetics that will not harm your skin.Is cheap makeup harmful to skin?
depends on what kind of cheap it is...if it's a kit that's obviously for a 5 year old to play with, then ya it won't be good for your skin, but i've use some, i guess you could call it cheap, make up and my skin's fine...
Not necessarily. Cheap doesn't mean it is bad for the skin sometimes even expensive make up causes breakout. Makeup is similar to skin care , choose one that is gentler to the skin. It is all trial and error. E.g I can't wear chanel lipstick due to its high lead content, tiny pimple like bumps will pop out of my lips.
i haven't had a problem with cheap makeup before i had bought one from the dollar store and it itched my eyes but i don't think it was so bad that it would clog my poors
Some cheap make-ups can contain ingredients that block the pores on the skin causing blackheads and pimples. But some cheap make up can do just a good job as some expensive make ups. So yes some cheap make up can be harmful to your skin, but so can some expensive products. :)
It shouldn't be unless you have sensitive skin.
    Hi!

Makeup is not the issue: The issues are these:

Do you clean your brushes every week? If not, get some clarifying shampoo to clean them with. Put a little shampoo and some water in a cup, and whisk the brush around. Rinse, and air dry. If possible, put the brushes upright and avois letting it touch surfaces when drying. Bacteria on brushes and sponges causes skin problems, even minor blemishes.

Do you sleep with makeup on? No matter HOW drowsy you are, it's just TOO important not to sleep with makeup on. As for good deep cleansing, try Cetaphil or and off brand of it. It matters not your skin type. I got oily skin, and benefit from it. Just make sure it's the liquid kind, not the bar kind. You can even use it to remove eye makeup that's not waterproof, and it won't sting the eyes. You can also get makeup remover for eyes. Cold cream can also be good for removing makeup or Noxema, but I would not recommend using on the eyes.

How often do you wear it? You don't want to wear it too often: Your skin needs some days off in between to breathe freely.
Looking at the ingredients could help you determine that probably. I wouldn't necessarily automatically say cheap is harmful.
Cheap makeup clogs the pores and can cause acne. Also cheaper products can have chemicals that are not good for the skin. It can also cause rashes on sensitive skin.
Not ALL cheap make-up is going to affect your skin. It's just the type of brand or quality the make-up is or however your skin is. If you are very worried, you should bring the make-up you have now and bring it to your doctor or a skin specialist so they can read the ingredients and tell you if it's safe for your skin or not.

ok for the oilyness try getting a cleanser and put it on morning and night.; if its still oily try getting a mask on your face. no matter how oily your skin is you have to get good moisturizer with spf, this will help with the cakeyness. get a foundation like MAC. i wear make up and it doesn't even look like i wear make up because of the foundation i use.

welll in the morning wash your face with cold water to close your pores up and don't use powder foundation but use a liquid foundations and dab a sponge under water and rub the liquid foundation in and don't try to put too much foundation in just use a small amount and rub it in.
Dont put to much on my make-up dose that too i stoped putting on to much so try that
im sorry but thats wrong if ur using powder foundation and it looks cakey it simpley means ur wearing too much. dont wwear liquid at all becasue thats the CAKIEST and its the heavest coverage. its not good for oily skin, so its probably why ur having trouble with that. try a light pressed powder, which is the best for oily/combonation skins. if u find some patches are dry, use moisturizer before you apply. try some of those oil absorbing pads by Clean and Clear, they work great and they wont smudge make-up. U can use them all day whenever u need too. Astringent might help too. As for the tan problem? Just aplly more face poweder with a FACE BRUSH when u want it to look a lighter tan.
The reason why it feels cakey is because liquid foundation is made out of fat. Try i.d bare minerals. It's inexpensive, has SPF 15 in it, comes in like four colors, and it's a powder foundation. or you could always apply powder over your make-up to prevent your face from becoming oily.
What I can recommend is the best makeup that worked for me. It was the only one that never caked or felt oily.

Bee Luscious Cosmetics liquid minerals foundation its like nothing else out there. This really does work!

I have sensitive skin and i want to know of a good makeup brush to use.?

i want a brush that is good to use with mineral loose foundation and will apply my makeup easy and flawless as im not a pro at applying. can anybody help? thanksI have sensitive skin and i want to know of a good makeup brush to use.?
The type of brush shouldn't matter, but a kabuki brush is best for loose foundation. The more important part is to remember to wash your brush. They harbor bacteria and that will cause damage to your sensitive skin more.I have sensitive skin and i want to know of a good makeup brush to use.?
Go purchase a Kabuki brush from Sephora. This will give you a flawless look and will allow you to apply the makeup on to your face evenly. Remember to swirl the powder on to your face.

    Good Luck!
MAC brushes are the best, they are made of real hair and will last you your whole life. They are super soft and don't wreck your makeup.
Quo has really good makeup brushes.

What kind of makeup, hair style, and out fits would make a girl with brown hair and white skin look pretty?

I seriously need help i do not have great taste and need a boyWhat kind of makeup, hair style, and out fits would make a girl with brown hair and white skin look pretty?
makeup: brighter colors but wear them soft..if you know what i mean like not a lot..so like a brigh green or soft pink..also a pink lipgloss or plain clear looks good and rosy cheeks

hair style: if you have curly or wavy hair either keep it down..let it flow or put it half up..if you have straight hair half up or messy bun

outfit: maybe stay away from black and browns cuz i have pale skin and i think it looks better to wear colors so pastels and brighter colors are best i always like a hot pink tee with some white capris..white can make you look tanner sometimes =]]What kind of makeup, hair style, and out fits would make a girl with brown hair and white skin look pretty?
Can't get paler than me and I look awful in black or white, I look good in bright or pastel colours. On the cooler tone side.
Makeup: A plum eyeshadow with some added white shadow usually looks great with brown hair. If you like to put on concealer, bronzer and all thay jazz, that it a decision you should make on your own due to skin shade and preference.

Hair: Blonde highlights often look really FABULOUS with brown hair. If dying hair isn't for you, then a good style is to swoop your bang, (if you don't have bangs then swoop a piece of hair over to the other side of the part) and bobby pin it underneath.

Clothing: Cream colored shirts sound like they would match your hair and skin tone, some nice printed tank-top shirts would also be a good canidate. Shirts that have some kind of seam across the chest (just under the breasts) then poof out a little look great on just about everybody.

Hope this wasn't too confusing and that I helped you! Good luck!
go for soft pinks with the makeup.

as for the hair, i suggest a half ponytail. or braided pigtails if you have longer hair.

white kapris and pink tees work best for girls like you and me!

trust me on this, im the same as you!! =))))))
Umm...you should go to the mall in your area and find one of those makeup consultants. In Macy's, Sephora, Clinique, MAC or something. They customize the makeup to your features and will be of more help than anyone in here. Same applies to your hair, when you go in for a trim, spend some extra time w/ the stylist.
    It's all in the personality
I have also brown hair and white skin, and I also wear pinks, peaches, light geens and light blues as makeup in my eyes. You can also use strong colors in you lips, but everything with moderation. If you want to put all the attention in your eyes, you should be moderate with your lips, and viceversa. My hair has a long layers style and it lloks beautiful. And my outfits are a little bit sexy and a little bit innocent. You shoul wear outfits that makes you feel sexy and comfort. But the most important thing is you are happy with yourself

Good luck, and don't forget my advices.

Does ';physician's ...mineral makeup'; damage skin?

You mean Physicians Formula? if so then no... it's good for sensitive skin... this make up line is designed for sensitive so skin so yeah don't worry... I like their mineral talc-free line..Does ';physician's ...mineral makeup'; damage skin?
Physician's Formula? It won't damage your skin, like she said it's for sensitive skin. Also, it won't break you out because it's minerals.

My skin easily dries out and i'm running out of makeup brands to try. Any suggestions?

I have eczema so I can assure you that I have very dry AND sensitive skin. My skin gets dry and irritated from hot weather, cold weather, chlorine, anything you can think of. =( Anyways, I always start of with Evian ';Water Mineral Spray.'; (You can buy this at Sephora or drugstore.com) Then, I use Cerave Moisturizing Lotion for my face. This used to be prescribed to me by my dermatologist but it has recently changed to be an over the counter product -which is great. It's the best lotion out there for dry and sensitive skin. This can be found in drugstores. I use Too Faced ';Shadow Insurance'; instead of Urban Decay ';Primer Potion'; because UD Primer Potion tends to dry lids out (it's good for people with more oily skin.) For my face, the only thing that has not completely dried me out is Tarte ';Smooth Operator'; tinted moisturizer. This provides great, sheer coverage while locking in moisture. Stila ';Hydrating Finishing Powder'; is also great for setting your make-up at the end. No dryness. For my eyes, I usually use Lorac shadows because they don't make my eye lids all dry. With other shadows, sometimes the skin on my lids will start ';peeling'; because the shadows dried them out so badly. For cheeks, I use Nars blush with no problems. Most lip products dry me out so that's the most difficult for me. I have chapped, dry lips and I use Jack Black ';Intense Therapy Balm.'; Too Faced ';Mirror Mirror Gloss'; Also does a great job of moisturizing and perfectly ';glossing'; my lips. If you have more questions, just ask. Hope this helps. My skin easily dries out and i'm running out of makeup brands to try. Any suggestions?
you'll probably need an oil or wax based one. foundations for older skin mostly aim for a nice glowing, fresh moisturised look so opt for them, even if you're skin is very young!

i've tried Clinique Dewy Smooth which i noticed took very well to my forehead inparticular as that's a very dry area. also, it's SO important to cleanse with a moisturizing wash and moisturize with an intensive moisturizer afterwards. The Body Shop Aloe Vera moisture lotion for your face is the ONLY one that works for my dry areas of skin. gently cleansing and moisturizing gives a great canvas for your make up which will make the make up take to your skin better and appear smoother. and your skin will be so much better moisturized. but seriously, that moisturizer is amazing! a little more expensive than other brands but worth it if you ask me. miracle worker!

if the Clinique brand is too expensive for your liking, you could try rimmel's ageing make up, or L'oreal's true match liquid make up, which my sister found great for her dry skin.

always choose a liquid foundation, not powder, cream or mousse as those three dry out your skin.

in addition to that, make sure you cleanse the make up off your skin with a moisturizing face wash and moisturize efficiently, like Simple's moisturizing face wash. their moisturizing face wash is good, but their moisturizer is not moisturizing enough at all!

and for foundations, look for ones that advertise a dewy look because they'll be aimed for comsumers with your needs.

for blushers, go for cream or gloss ones instead of powders or mousse. all of these types of make up should be sold by every decent brand of make up. hope that helps! (:My skin easily dries out and i'm running out of makeup brands to try. Any suggestions?
I recently started using RAW Natural Beauty products, the makeup is light and airy but holds it color and keeps my face moisturized throughout the day. You can find it at http://www.glow.com
Make sure before you apply make up that you put on moisturizer. Also perhaps try L'oreal Tru Match foundation, it blends in easily.
google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...its great for dry or sensitive skin because its all water based. It makes my skin look flawless i LOVE it! hope i helped...=)
use jergens mostruizer then apply make up.

  • How to get a ';glowing'; or ';dewey'; look on your skin/makeup?

I am experimenting with some ideas for a wedding I will be in in just a few weeks. My idea for make up is to go for a ';dewey'; effect on my skin. I want it to glow. I was going to do a shimmery shadow and dark eyeliner and a reddish/clear lip gloss. The dress I am wearing is red %26amp; I am not in love with the color on me.

I am very light skinned, goldish blonde hair %26amp; blue eyes.

Any tips on how to achieve a dewey look? Any product recommendations are appreciated. How to get a ';glowing'; or ';dewey'; look on your skin/makeup?
Try using a tinted moisturizer if you have good skin, or a light liquid foundation if you need a bit more coverage.

-Liquid foundations blend easier into the skin and reflect light, so it will give you more of a dewy finish.

Also try using a Cream Color Base from MAC. It's a creamy highlighter with a glow. I like to rub a little bit on tops of cheekbones and under the brows. It's perfect for glowy skin. Try it in Shell or Hush.

I wouldn't really go with a sheer red gloss, especially if you're wearing a red dress. I would stay with a nude lip. It will look pretty with the dewey skin as well. Hope I helped! How to get a ';glowing'; or ';dewey'; look on your skin/makeup?
    Easy:-

1)Primer (you cant go wrong with Mac prep %26amp; prime SPF15) and it is vital

    2)Foundation

3)Liquid blusher (difficult to find but once you get it, you will see the difference by using fingers and tap NOT brush technique).

It will give you natural fresh glow-y look. Try now :)
use mac fix + over your foundation

it makes your face look super dewy
i'm not sure what you mean by ';dewey'; .. but if you use a highlighter, it really gives your face a glowing effect. i'm not sure how to explain how to use it, but just watch this video :)

    http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=6a9Ud9GEBy…
Cream foundation are best for Dewy skin!

Mac studio Tec and or Covergirl Aqua smooth (compact)

I want to try the covergirl first then I'll try mac, A powder would give you matte look, and liquid foundation will give you natural coverage with a luminous glow, I hoped I helped you and get a cream foundation cause I am lol. for spring time I am.
I read on msn.com that putting a neutral shade of lip gloss on your face will ';add a sexy dewiness'; It seems, kind of strange, but msn is a pretty reputable source. Sorry, I can't find the link...
the foundation i use, looks quite dewy. its rimmel lasting finish 16 hour foundation, you can get it in boots or superdrug, probaably supermarkets too
well you definitely want to use a liquid foundation, for some glow mix in some bronzer

there is also this product called fix + by MAC that is a spray that sets your look and it kind of leaves a nice finish

    have a great wedding!
This may sound weird, but powder makeup that has no talc is really good. Physician's Formula is what I would suggest getting. I remember once someone told me that you should use powder makeup and I didn't believe them because I thought, ';Well, isn't powder used to decrease a glow and just leave your face matte?';, but then I tried physician's formula and I freaking love it.

    http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/d…

    Physician’s Formula Recommendations:

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder: ~$13.00 individual, ~$20 in the 3 pack

(Voted “Best Face Powder” in Star Magazine)

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Blush: ~$12.00 individual, ~$20 in the 3 pack

(Won ';Testers’ Favorite Product Award'; in Fitness Magazine and Awarded “Natural Beauty Award” in Natural Health Magazine)

Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil: ~$13.00 individual, ~$20 in 3 the pack

The 3 pack is not on the website, but I know for a fact it is sold at Target. It's probably sold at Walmart, and wherever they carry physician's formula products. The colors I saw that it came in were fair, light, and medium.

I have oily skin, so here’s a tip if you do, too. Just carry around the Talc-Free Matte Finishing Veil in a purse or backpack (for school or work or shopping or whatever) and apply it when you feel oily. It's 100% translucent, so it just eats the oil without looking chalky or heavy.

To me, the mineral powder and blush looked hard, like I'd have to scrape it with my powder brush, but really it comes of quite easily. Take the brush it comes with and just dab it on, it'll come off without any rubbing at all.
You're getting married! Congratulaations! Ha ha. Whatever. Uhm.. I think you should like wear a light pink shimmery lipgloss. You don't want yoor face to stand out too much with your dress. Mac foundation is a very good foundation to cover up and get a glowy look. Maybe some light pink eyeshadow with some somewhat thick liquid black eyeliner. I would get your makeup from Mac cosmetics. It is the bestt. =D Hope this helped.
    dewy? lol
    Try this:

obviously exfoliate, moisturize and prime (smashbox photo finish primer)

    make up:

    FACE:

Stila makes a WONDERFUL illuminating tinted moisturizer that you get get at sephora-- it provides great coverage and makes skin look absolutely beautiful. After applying the tinted moisturizer, use concealer where necessary. Apply bronzer by sweeping it just under the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, forehead and jaw line... make sure to continue your make up down past your neck a bit so that the colors blend and it doesn't look like a mask. After you are illuminated, concealed and bronzed, sweep Smashbox Halo perfecting powder all over your face. This is not a matte powder, it is actually moisturizing (check it out on sephora) and really makes skin look luminous.

Eyes: The most important step for eye make up is primer.. so that the colors stay true and don't fade! Use urban decay primer potion with any look you love!
    1. Keep heavy cosmetics to a minimum. Try lighter make-up, if necessary, like BareMinerals.

    2. Apply a sunscreen to your skin and a chapstick/lip balm with SPF.

    3. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser in the morning when you wake up, like Cetaphil or Clean %26amp; Clear. Think about it - you have been tossing and turning all night on a pillow covered with bacteria and hair product residue.

    4. Wash your face before you go to bed at night. Your face has been exposed to polluted air, oils from your hands, and other environmental factors all day. Remember to never go to bed with make-up on.

    5. Wash your face with warm/hot water to open your pores. Then use your cleanser and rinse off with warm/hot water. Finish by rinsing with cold water or rubbing ice on your face to close your pores and help keep them clean.

    6. Steam your pores open to cleanse about once a week. How?

    * Boil a pot of water. You can add a drop of something like rosemary oil, if you like.

    * Drape a towel over your hair.

    * Hold your face about 6'; away from the water's surface for about 3-5 minutes.

    * Cleanse and follow up with the cold water or ice.

    7. Exercise. Cardio is what will give your skin that glow, because it stimulates blood flow.

    8. Use a nutritive skin care product at night and get plenty of sleep.

    9. Use a weekly moisturizing or anti aging mask on face and neck, preferably after exfoliating the skin.

    10. Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. This will help clear your skin and give it a glow, because it will help rid toxins from your body.

    11. It is crucial to have a healthy diet:

    * You are what you eat, and incorporating healthy food like vegetables, fruits, grains, and protein will help. Omega 3 Fatty Acids found in fish and walnuts is especially beneficial to your skin. Vitamin C will help existing pimples heal faster, so eating a few servings of things like citrus fruits will help. If you're worried you aren't getting enough of necessary vitamins and minerals, try taking a multivitamin.

    * Steer clear of foods and drinks high in sugar and caffeine. Which means you should cut down on, or completely remove soda, coffee, and sugary juices from our diet.

    * Try to consume less than 45g of sugar on a daily basis.

    * Cut down on salty foods. Eating too much salt can make your face look bloated.

    12. Exfoliate about once a week also. You can do this by buying an exfoliater or by using a washcloth to rub your cleanser in - just make sure it's clean! Exfoliating will remove dead, dull skin.

    13. Always follow up a cleanse with a moisturizer made for your skin type. Especially after exfoliating!

    14. Do NOT pick at existing pimples. When you pick at or pop a pimple, you are spreading the bacteria from that onto the rest of your face.

    15. Try to keep your hands off your face as much as possible. Your hands naturally have oils on them that can clog pores.

    16. Try to keep stress to a minimum. I know for a fact that the majority of us have to deal with stress frequently, but stress can cause break-outs. Try meditating or just taking a few minutes in the day to sit back, clear your mind, and do something you enjoy.

    17. Exercise regularly, and drink lots of water.

    18. Use a moisturizing or anti aging facial mask once a week, preferably after exfoliating the skin.

    19. Use a nutritive skin care product to feed the skin during the night.

    20. Get plenty of sleep.

    [edit] Tips

    * Make sure you have a cleanser and moisturizer made for your skin type.

    * If you have severe acne, you may want to consult a dermatologist.

    * Have patience you should see improvements in about two weeks.

    HOPE THIS HELPS =D

The best makeup for really bad skin?

i never wear makeup because my skin is so bad and i dont want to make it worse. i have a lot of pimples under the skin and i hate them..............is there any way i could make my skin look a little better by useing the right makeup? what brand should i use? thanks every one :)The best makeup for really bad skin?
Skin problems cannot be solved by make up. Make up is to enhance your features, not to cover them. what u need is to get to the root cause of your skin condition.

Do u smoke, deprive yourself of sleep or water? Do you eat a lot of fried/oil food? If so, ditch those habits. Good skin is really a reflection of good health. The best makeup for really bad skin?
When you're in the make-up section of your favorite store just look at all the brands, I recommend Neutrogena or Covergirl, and find the powder make up. Most brands have powder make-up with salicylic acid. That means it helps to control acne. It will dry up excess oil on your face, too.

Oh, if you have dry skin, you might want to use a lotion like Oil of Olay at least once a day. I also recommend that you buy oil-absorbing sheets. I know for sure that Neutrogena has them.

The best makeup colors for pale skin?

    - eyeliner - different ways to apply it

    - eye shadow - different ways to apply it

    - lip gloss/lip stick

    - blush - wearing blush makes me feel like a clown, but maybe its the color that i am choosing? (rarely use it)

    - nail polish

    - hair color?

I have black hair. but i was thinking about brown? highlights?

something that's appropriate for my age - 16 years oldThe best makeup colors for pale skin?
For eyeliner try to match the color of your hair and try to avoid black cause when it runs it will look like you have a black eye. (I like urban decay 24/7 glide on but its like $18...covergirl perfect blend is great too but doesn't stay as long). I recommend trying pinks and beige colors. Try to get something shimmery for eyeshadow to brighten your eyes(Clinique has a bunch of great eyes shadow colors...MAC is great but can sometimes look really harsh on pale skin). Avoid the whole dark color eyeshadows so your eyes don't look like they are sunken in. As for blush try i light pale pink or use a cream blush so you can make it look more natural (i like the NARS stick blush cause you can use that for blush, eye shadow, and lipcolor and it looks great on everyone). Nailpolish you can wear whatever you want cause anycolor will go, but i really like dark reds on pale skin because it stands out more. Don't dye your hair it ruins it so much, most people dye their hair and get sick of dying it back over and over. It makes your ends try and doesn't look that great when your roots come in. Most people just go back to their original hair color anyways. I suggest using the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner that is your color...it keeps it healthy while bringing out your natural highlights. Hope this helps you!!!The best makeup colors for pale skin?
Use colors that compliment your eyes, you can never go wrong with thin line of top eye liner. Also for blush, try a natural peach color, same with a sheer gloss. My friend has very pale skin and she uses every color of eye shadow under the sun, and it looks good. I'm sure you can do the same
My wife does facials for a living. She sells avon products for the ladies she gives advice to. contact her at llk3500@yahoo.com. she loves helping. or her website www.youravon.com/laceybeard Good luck!

I have bad skin, is it a bad idea to wear makeup?

My skin is acne prone and I have lots of black heads and acne break outs all over my skin. I hate it! So I do wear eyeliner but I want to try wearing some concealer. My mom says it will make my pores bigger? What company is best to use though?and what kind..liquid or powder

(I'm using an acne treatment right now fyi)

Thanks!I have bad skin, is it a bad idea to wear makeup?
No you should def wear makeup to cover up your blemishes. Bare minerals is a great makeup your skin will look great. It is all natural so it will not hurt your skin at all. You should also get some daily moisturizer w/ acne medication and sunblock in it. And for the black heads I would say exfoliate at least 3x week. I had acne for a few years and proactiv really helped me. Just be sure to clean your skin before bed and don't wear makeup unless your going out. Good luck. And don't worry about the scars if you get them bc there are treatments now that will take them away. I have bad skin, is it a bad idea to wear makeup?
okay i had bad skin , too .

like what i do is use a 10 % benzoyl peroxide acne wash at night,

and then a 2 % salyical acid in the mornings.

    and at night, mosturize !

for whatever reason, that helps my skin a lot.

and as far as the make up issue,

    don't use liquid foundation.

    that deff clogs your pores.

what would be best is to use that concealer that comes in a tube,

and you dab it on your zits to minmize their appearance,

so you don't have liquid gunk all over your face clogging pores.

and then you a loose mineral powder over that,

with some blush, of course !

but make sure to not wear ANY face make up during exercise.

that's the worst thing you can do ..
I think you need to work on getting your skin in better condition moreso than looking for makeup. I would recommend going to get a facial if you can afford it to do a deep cleaning and start from fresh.

For acne prone skin I recommend Jane Iredale pressed powder makeup- it gives a natural finish with buildable coverage. Make sure to moisturize properly before applying!
powdered foundation is best for oily skin. Liquid foundation will make your pores get clogged up and you will feel dirty. But I have found that powdered foundation doesnt last so I use a mixture of the two. If you use liquid get the oil free kind. Also try putting lotion on your face several times a day. Acne can be caused by dry skin. I get it on my arms and when I put it on a lot it nearly goes away copletely. Just a suggestion!
Use a light mineral powder. This will be the least clogging on your pores.

I don't think makeup will make your pores bigger, but it will clog your pores.
It's bad if the make up is heavy and pore-clogging. There are some make up that are good for your skin. Try going to places like Sephora or Clinique for advice on good make ups for your skin.
Have you tried Proactiv? It clears up skin like magic! Give it a week and you will be a new person! As for foundation...stick with an oil free one. Try the new brush on mineral foundations.

    Blotchy skin and makeup?

I have acne prone skin and combination type skin. After like an hour my makeup gets really blotchy. How can i keep this from happening so my makeup can just look smooth and fresh all day??Blotchy skin and makeup?
carry oil blotting pads and carry your maeup to reapply throughout the day. maybe you are wearing a cheap brand of makeupBlotchy skin and makeup?
I have the same skin type as you and I would recommend that you mosturize well before you apply your makeup, and also you can carry a spray mist with you to refresh your makeup through out the day.

try and fin da 1 rite for u anytime ur shopping for makeup look at da bottom and see wut it is gud for like olay can say for oily or dry skin that wuld help!!!!!!
any oil free, lightweight makeup should work for you.
I'd suggest Iman, or possibly Fashion Fair. I've had good results with them both, and both have oil control products, and Iman's is gentler than Fashion Fair's. But start with taking good care of your skin! Makeup can only enhance your features, good skin care is the best cosmetic.
I use Mary Kay. However, it is important to:

    1) clean your face with an oil-free cleanser

    2) use an oil-reducing toner

    3) use oil mattifier (helps keep oil away!)

    4) use oil-free foundation

    5) use lightweight powder over it, but not too much to look overly made up.

Isn't it a big job?? I do all this :(

I'm NOT a Mary Kay rep
i am the same way try putting on one layer of some kinde of coverup thats what i do
You want to go with a powder makeup rather than a cream or liquid one, because they usually have oils in them. And make sure all of your makeup is oil free. A good option for you would be a mineral makeup, try Neutrogena mineral sheers, or Bare minerals, the minerals are great for your skin and a good stop for oiliness.

Also a translucent powder liner ';mineral veil'; from bare escentuals will keep your skin for looking oily. And dont use cream blushes or anything with too much shimmer, it'll just make you look more oily.
hey girl i live in latin america and its the samething! we all have oily skin...definitly try M.A.C Makeup! you will be surprised with the results 100% satisfied. Go to a M.A.C store and tell one of the girls your problem she will help you.

If you decide to buy this make up ill tell you what worked for me '; Blot Powder Pressed '; , ( for me Medium Dark ) i also have problem with my eyelashes they get oily and i bought ';Eye Base Yeux- Prep+Prime'; just can't live without it, throught a whole club night you wont need to retouch your face nor eyes again! hope you find the results your looking for !
Bare Escentuals...I used to have the same problem and I'd never go back to regular make-up. Mineral make-up is the best for controlling oily skin. Even if you don't use Bare Escentuals I think any mineral make-up is best. I hope I helped :)
I have Hispanic skin and had a hard time finding a good makeup go to bee-luscious cosmetics and try the Mineral Liquid Powder Foundation the coverage is excellent leaving an airbrushed look

very light and airy feels like you have nothing on your face.
    i have oily skin also.

i use clinique powders and compacts.

i have got my family and friends to use them too and they love it.

all of theyre face products have no oil in them what so ever.

except for pruducts for dry skin.

    hope this helps :)

I tries Physcians formula and it broke me out horribly. I wash my face everynight and when I wake up I also mosturize. I am in my late 20's so it is not puberty. It is a whole new world for me because when I was a teenager I never had acne. It popped up about a year ago and it refuses to go away. I have tried all sorts of products and makeups and I am at my wits end. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Oh, and that I know of I am not allergic to anything.Best makeup and cleansing products for acne prone skin
I'm 23 and had acute cystic scarring acne when I was younger and I'm still prone to break outs. I tried everything too and even cetaphil made me break out. Now I only use Dove energy glow (which works better) or rose (which works ok) bars to wash my face twice a day. I also exfoliate twice a week with either St. Ives gentle apricot scrub or Ponds rose quartz microdermabrasion. I forgot to mention that I use Olay 7x effects moisturizer in fragrance free once a day, but will be trying a thinner sensitive moisturizer by Olay that someone else with my skin type uses because the one I'm using causes minimal breakouts.

I only use bare minerals for concealer, foundation and powder on my face. It's the summer and I'm tan, so I use medium beige with the concealer brush as a concealer and then buff warm tan all over my face. I can even sleep in it without worry about breaking out really bad. It's definitely a life saver because I used it as a last resort, thinking I would just never be able to wear any sort of foundation or powder for the rest of my life. Another bonus is that it lasts so long, the sample container lasted me 1 1/2 years so in the long run it's really cheap too. For the price of the foundation (not counting the 1 time purchase of brushes) it's only like $10 a year for concealer and foundation for me, ordering foundation at $30 directly from bareescentuals.com. I would highly recommend ordering a sample pack from bareminerals.com and then canceling the subscription service if they're still doing that as soon as you get your package. You get a bunch of their stuff for a fraction of the cost. Otherwise you can pick it up at one of their stores, Ulta or Sephora (or bareescentuals.com, ulta.com, sephora.com). I'm jealous that now you get a travel compact with a brush in it with the starter pack, I got one as a present 3 years after I started using bare minerals and it's really great!Best makeup and cleansing products for acne prone skin
I was using proactive. It was ok. I still got pimples but it did better than other products such as clearsil or clean and clear did.

Try nivea young. Now that stuff is awesome. The only time I get pimples is for that time of the month. All the nivea young products are awesome.

And with the make up. Use mineral make up. It doesnt clog pores and if you have redness from the acne, it will hide it well.

If that doesn't work than go to a doctor.
Use Proactive to get rid of the acne. Even if the Proactive gets rid of the acne don't stop using it keep using it to prevent break outs. And the best make-up to use is Bare-Minerals. Its very light on the skin its not oily. Very good make-up.

it is imprtant to use somthing that shall help remove blackheads as it is these that cause the actual acne if not treated

Foundation Makeup suggestions for dry skin, that doesnt look chalky? 10 points?

hi i live in australia and im looking for a foundation that stays on and covers up freckles rather well but doesn't look chalky or veryy visible. I have tried a lot of makeup that cost $33 or less but there is no budget for me i just want a really good foundation for once!

and tell me where to buy it thanks.Foundation Makeup suggestions for dry skin, that doesnt look chalky? 10 points?
Okay, lets break it down shall we. If you invest in a good brand it won't give that chalky appearance- unless you're buying a shade too light against your skin tone.

If you want reasonably priced, I suggest a Revlon product. It's not just foundation you want though, you should invest in a good concealer as they cover up freckles and instead of a liquid foundation buy a mineral powder foundation so that it's not cakey and lets your skin breath. Always moisturize your skin before bed. If you want you can add a little moisturizer to your liquid foundation and this will make a nice even look on your skin. Cover not only your face but your neck and a little on your collar bones. It is great if you use bronzer to highlight the check bones- this will also help to keep those freckles hidden. Found at local pharmacies.

If you want something of high quality and are willing to pay the price try MAC- any foundation by Mac is sure to be great on skin- but concealer again is a must if you really want to hide freckles. Might try high end fashion malls, like in Sydney.

    remember to blend!

good luck.Foundation Makeup suggestions for dry skin, that doesnt look chalky? 10 points?
    Hello my fellow Australian=]

Like you I have quite dry skin as well (Its the climate here, we just can't conquer it!) so I too have tried many many foundations, I have a draw FULL of (many horrible) foundations.

BUT! Covergirl has a wonderful new foundation out called Aquasmooth that I'm in LOVE with and since trying it I never want another foundation ever again.

You can buy it at your general stores here like Target, Kmart, Big W, Priceline and even Safeway sell it and it's about $20-21

Also, to try battle your dry skin, I suggest Garnier Nutritionist SPF 15, it helps keep moisture in the skin and has the SPF you need in a climate like Australia.

    Good luck!
i usually dont recommend liquid foundation but since you do have dry skin, i must.

    For Dry Skin:

wash your face and make sure you use an really good moisturizer (

Beeswax Moisturizing Day Creme its by burtsbees)..

then to cover your freckles and to get the foundation to stay and look smooth use a shimmer moisturizer(Jergens Soft Shimmer Skin Radiance Moisturizer) and mix a little bit of your liquid foundation with it ( like an M%26amp;M size of each) and smooth onto your face..

    Hope it helps
-nods- I agree with whoever said Maybelline Mineral Power. Where you can buy it, however, depends on your location ^^; and as I do not know, I cannot tell. Most majoy stores would stock it though- try chemists, big chain grocery stores (makeup/beauty/skincare isles) and whatever hair/makeup/beauty stores that are around you.

It works really well, but I would suggest putting on moisturiser about 5mins before using it, to keep your skin nice %26amp; soft. Other than that, have you tried tinted moisturisers? Gives you a bit of colour, and keeps your skin nice ^^
I also have freckles and use a green color corrector all over the areas I want covered it works really well. In color correctors green corrects reddish tones if your skin has more bluish undertones then use a yellow corrector. I purchase mine at the drug store it comes in a tube like lipstick cheap works just as well as expensive so I use the NYC brand, http://www.newyorkcolor.com/. I am not sure if it is available where you are but Maybelline or Cover Girl should have one. I do know that PurMinerals makes one http://www.purminerals.com/Skin-Care this should take you right to it. I have used it and it is really good. You did not say what your skin type is but with the color corrector you should not have to use heavy foundation to cover the freckles. Hope this has helped some.
It you need one that will cover freckles, you will need a foundation that has a heavier coverage. You didn't say which brands you have already tried, but have you tried using a primer underneath your foundation? One thing for sure is if your foundation looks chalky, it's the wrong shade for your skin tone.
Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 hour foundation. I have dry skin with a little bit of acne and it gives great coverage, I'm sure it would cover freckles too. I'm not sure if you can get it in Australia though.
I absolutely love Maybelline Mineral Powder Foundation. It covers well and lasts throughout the day. I don't know where you would buy it for sure in Australia, but they sell it in the U.S. at most of the department stores.

How to get airbrush skin without makeup?

,.How to get airbrush skin without makeup?
its not impossible like everybody is saying, to get good skin you need to have a very healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables, fish, nuts and drink a lot of water %26amp; exercise...How to get airbrush skin without makeup?
To get that airbrush effect naturally, maybe try usuing a non-oily tinted moisturiser.

The best moisturiser i've ever used is L'Oreal Happyderm Skin Moisturiser. It cleans your pores and lets your skin breathe. It's a light thin tinted moisturiser, so you can still get a little bit of a tan, but also protect your skin with very thin layer of moisturiser. It's only AU$17, im not sure where abouts you live, but im sure the price would be roughly the same anywhere. I have it and I love it, It makes my skin look really smooth and healthy! :)

    It looks like this:

Have you tried lose powder. If you don't want to wear make-up cause it feels heavy then just brushing on a little powder can make a big difference with out using heavy make-up.
its practically impossible unless you already have very good skin. apply sunscreen and moisturizer.
    You can't.
try tinted moisturizers and sunscreen. like the jergens touch of glow for face

get a light foundation a litle bit darker than your skin

    itll work

    answr mine?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>I naturally have pinky/red skin and i hate it! How to get rid of the redness without piling on faketan/makeup?
Use a moisturizer that reduces redness, like Aveeno Ultra-Calm. Also, a little bronzer and some foundation can't hurt.
i have the same problem i use Aveeno ultra calming moisturizer and Physicians formula multi-colored corrector green it reduces the redness only use a little ^_^
Some of the mineral powder foundation companies make a colour corrector for red skin. It has a slightly green colour (which doesn't show when you apply it) As it's a light mineral powder it won't clog your skin or make it feel 'cakey'. You don't have to apply separate foundation afterwards if you don't want to.

    Bronzer Makeup protect skin?/?

Is there a bronzer that skin? I live in the city and want somethign for every day a healthy bronzer??Bronzer Makeup protect skin?/?
A bronzer won't protect the skin from sun damage unless it has SPF ingredients.

Physician's Formula recently introduced a bronzer w/ SPF. However, since bronzer is not used all over - it won't protect your entire face.

    For product information:

    http://www.physiciansformula.com/detail_鈥?/a>Bronzer Makeup protect skin?/?
use physicians formula! their bronzer has spf but put on sunscreen before your makeup!
unless the bronzer says SPF 15 on it, then it doesnt protect your skin. ive never seen one that has an spf over 15 though, but im sure that they have them out there.

  • Mineral makeup/ dry skin ....?

I got the samples form ' Everyday Minerals' and it seems good, but I have really dry skin and I feel like it's drying me out more... Is there another one I can try or anyone else that has dry skin- what do you use? I also have acne and i felt that it didn't cover it up really good.. thanks for anyone who will answer I really appreciate it.Mineral makeup/ dry skin ....?

I have problem skin that breaks out, but i use Bare Minerals and it covers up any problem spots very well. The makeup is very sheer too, so it doesn't look like you loaded on the makeup. For your dry skin, you can use an oil free moisturizer, i use aveeno and it works good. Just put that on and let it dry for a few minutes before putting on the bare minerals. You can get bare minerals online or from Sephora.
Scurry10, proper care of your skin should be your first concern, then your make up. The products at aularale.com/7002 are fantastic for getting and keeping your skin in top shape; and the foundations are to die for - they match the undertones of your skin, are water based (allows skin to breathe) and fragrance free.
I use Artistry mineral makeup.. I use Cetaphil as a moisturizer, and then my powder, and I love it.. I too have breakout problems, but it actually makes me feel good about my skin! Plus, I liked the fact that if I wasn't happy with it, I could get my money back! Here's where I get mine: www.ctaube.qbeautyzone.com... Also, it's a lot cheaper than it's competition.. I pay about $20 rather than the $60 for Bare Minerals!
all mineral makeup is drying, it can make your skin worse, try a makeup that is more liquid or the kind that is inbetween liquid and a pressed powder. those also typically cover better.

Bobbi Brown Luminous Foundation, You could also use MAC strobe cream over regular foundation.
try lancome foundation %26amp; powder =)
Hard to cover everything but I reccomend using clinque foundation followed by cover girl bronzer and finally finishing off with covergirl blush to add a bit of colour to your tanned cheeks.

I can't say enough about mary kay foundation.I love it! It covers everything and the colors look more natural than the cheaper brands you buy at drugstores.
To cover up acne and redness you need a yellow stick then put on your makeup. That's what they taught us in cos. When we learned how to do makeup.
dont use any makeup wash your face and dont use any until theyre gone
a paper bag and nuclear waste
    foundation / concelor

    and or blusher
Make sure face is clean, and use primer. It's a must.

Use a tinted moisturiser first, as the moisture will help to treat the acne and help your skin glow.

Use a concealor with a yellow or green tint (benifit do a good one) to cover imperfections or red skin.

Then use a foundation to even skin tone, and a pressed powder over the top to keep it put.

Then use a loos powder over the top to make your skin look less red and ';great';. :)

Use a blusher and/or bronzer on your cheeks to make you look fresher and more alive Ha ha.

    Hope this helps.

    Makeup? or Skin Care?

Which one are you interested in more?

    Makeup or Skin Care?

What is more important to you ?Makeup? or Skin Care?
Skin care. I like being able to feel comfortable not wearing makeup and good skin is the first step. I use makeup when for special occasions, but like to wear as little as possible on a day to day basis.Makeup? or Skin Care?
Definitely skin care. I dont believe in makeups and all because I believe in natural beauty. The difference is person who wears makeup can be happy and confident but a person with natural beauty can be satisfied and confident. There is a lot of difference between happiness and satisfaction. Real happiness is something which comes out of satisfaction. So one should try to be satisfied rather than being happy.

Moreover people with no makeup and with natural beauty take proper skin care with natural ailments and they dont use cosmetics etc. So they can face anybody or any situation with full confidence. So beauty conscious doesn't come in their mind and disturb their work. But people who use cosmetics can never face anything with confidence without makeup. They have no confidence in their natural beauty and apply cosmetics, so they even can't come out and walk freely without makeup. They can be happy with makeup but not satisfied. But what is a life without satisfaction? Isn't it boring and a waste?

dif skin care, yeah make up makes you look good but only for a period of time b4 you have to take it off. skin care will make your skin look great and it will stay.

so in the long run skin care is way better
skin care is very important. if you have nice skin you don't need lots of makeup to cover it up. it always starts from the base. since we have one face one skin all our lives. good luck : )
I'm interested more in makeup because it's fun. But skin care is more important to me because if I don't take care of my skin, it won't look good no matter how much makeup I use.
im interested in make-up but skin care is more important

i mean just think about it if u cared for ur skin better u wudnt need make-up:)
first i would take care of skin...when it's healthy and stuff, i would move on to light makeup :D

    mascara's alwayas important
I'd say skin cares first. As long as your skins healthy you'll look good. make up is nice but if occasionally worn ; you look nicer.

people will tend to see a difference

Ok my skin is generally dry. And today I decided to buy some makeup. Well how do i mosturize my skin so that?

my makeup does not look dry? I know about moisturizer but is there anything else that helps. Different brand of makeup? I use Mac. I also use Clarins and Kiehls. I thnk i am just not getting enough fat in my diet? what do you think? should i get a bronzer instead. my makeup is already tinted moisturizer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Ok my skin is generally dry. And today I decided to buy some makeup. Well how do i mosturize my skin so that?
I use Maybelline but before I apply it I put creme on my face. I use a think creme from Ulta and rub it on so it's really moisturized. Then I put on my liquid cover-up. Instead of just smearing it on, try to blot it on. It makes it less dry and more even. To touch up during the day I dab on a little creme in the dry spots but leave the rest alone. You can also try and drink more water and take Vitamin E. You will definately notice a diference.Ok my skin is generally dry. And today I decided to buy some makeup. Well how do i mosturize my skin so that?
    drink plenty of water.

make sure that the make-up you are using is not oil-free.

moisturize immediately after wasing your face. the lotion will absorb better with damp skin.

i am not familiar with those brands. i used to have a problem with dry patches. i stopped using powder (except on my nose which is always oily) and after putting on make-up would dab a tiny bit of moisturizer on the dry spots.

    hope this helps!
I use a light moisturizer on my face before I put on makeup. I use Clinique Dramatically Different lotion, then I use their Perfect Balance liquid foundation on top of the moisturizer. They also have a light moisturizer with a water base that works well if your face still feels dry after the moisturizer.
Clinque is the best! They have a moisturizer called ';dramatically different moisturizer'; and it works. Fat causing oil production is a myth so don't eat more fat, just try different moisturizers. Also, if were you live is always hot or humid you may want to try an emollient SPF moisturizer. I would recommend the clinque products, I have used them for the past five years and I love them! Plus if they don't work or you hate them they will generally take them back and bend over backwards to try and help you find something you will love.
    Couldn't tell you
I would switch to clinique make up. I had the same problem and I use to use mac as well. Clinique is dermatologist tested and has hypoallergenic products.
Exfoliate every other day to remove dead skin cells. Continue to use your tinted moisturizer, try benefit's ';you rebel'; if you want a new one. At night wash your face and then use a moisturizer to sleep in. I recommend L'oreal hydra-renewal. Good luck.
Well if your makeup has a moisturizer in it and it's not working you might need to try a new kind. Mac is a really good choice, but not everyone's skin is the same and it could possibly be something in their brand that is totally drying your face out.
I would try a gentle exfoliator (I seriously use baking soda!) twice a week to bring fresh cells to the surface. Then use a night-time moisturizer, they are usually very effective. Be careful increasing the fat in your diet....there are other health concerns with that. Eat your leafy greens!
Make sure you drink water through out the day. Mositurize everytime after you wash your face. You should try an intense moisturizer, like Mary Kay intense moisturizer. Also, maybe you should try a moisturizing foundation.
mac is drying---try those mousse foundations instead

begin with non-drying cleanser, then use a good moisturizer like cetaphil, vasoline or curel brands, then aplly makeup with fingers (more even coverage)
I would suggest using a cream facial cleaneser, that will clean but not overdry your skin then afterwards use a sensitive facial lotion that is unscented I recommend Dove that is what I use and my face used to be really dry but now it's much softer and my make-up doesn't dry out and flake like it used to. Also use creamier make-up especially foundation try a little sample on your hand and feel how creamy it is and wait for it to dry to see how heavy or how light it dries on your skin the lighter it is the less it will dry out your skin and flake. Hope that helps!
I have the excat sameissue.. here is what I do:

    use:

    Philosophy The Present Clear Makeup

    The Present is a ';clear makeup'; for perfect, airbrushed skin. Formulated to be used as a last step prior to any makeup to form an invisible barrier that ';seals in'; moisture for chronically dry skin and active ingredients from treatment products while keeping out harmful environmental elements by acting like an invisible band-aid. It also contains lysozyme, a natural antimicrobial agent to keep skin radiantly ';clear.';

do this prior to putting anything esle on your skin..wait 2 minutes and it will look great.

also, use a mild face scrub to get rid of flakes and such no more then 2 a week.

    DRINK WATER

    seriously LOTS OF WATER
It's not fat you want, it's more water. 64 oz. a day is recommended (a ridiculous amount, I know, but darned good for you and your skin).

As for your makeup, are you talking about a base? A base applied over skin that has been properly prepared (cleansed and moisturized) shouldn't look dry. Clinique Daily Moisturizer is nice and light and absorbs quickly. If you have a good complexion then bypass the base and go for a light bronzer. You can also periodically mist your face with purified water to alleviate any dryness your makeup may be obtaining as the day goes on.
I have dry skin too, I have found that Aveeno lotion works the best....{Aveeno-Daily Moisturizing Lotion} Try the one that says that..Its a tan bottle with a green label on it ..I always put it on then wait a few minutes for it to absorber into my skin before I put on my makeup...Its really great I think you will love it..
Definitely moisturize. Drink water. I like mineral foundation- it is not drying and does not clog pores and it looks natural. Bronzer is nice- don't go too heavy with it. Take a look at our products, we send out samples.
    i dunno

Makeup q, skin is dark tone...different eyeliner color?

when i try to apply my eyeliner (its brown not black) i do it lightly, because i already have dark features and i dont want to look dead or gothic, and it almost doesnt show up since my skin is darkish too, but if i press harder it gets really really dark and i look....like a corpse. any suggestions? should i get a different color? i only want light eyeliner but if i try to apply it lightly it blends into my skin and black will make me look gothic or like an old lady, i think. what color should i use?!?? (if knowing my age helps, i am 14)Makeup q, skin is dark tone...different eyeliner color?
I dont know if this helps but if you look at my avatar how she has it done, that's what it looks like if you put it on the top and bottom. It should look the same on all color skin. I think you should try black eyeliner but not to thick.Makeup q, skin is dark tone...different eyeliner color?
Put on black eyeliner but lay it lightly. Or black- brown or soft black. You might not want liquid eyeliner. Also, make sure to blend your eyeliner so the lines are not so harsh and apply a metallic shadow lightly and you will look great.
i am 14 as well, and i have fair skin so i cant use like blacks, but i use like a blueish or a brown so that it doesnt look like im goth or like weird! Good luck
Try a dark brown or a soft black!

Also, are you using a liquid eyeliner or pencil? Because liquid eyeliner can be too dramatic, while a pencil may appear a little softer. You can also use eyeshadows for eyeliner and go with the smokey eyes look!

    Good luck!

    Makeup and skin care products??

I have a quite pale skin, and lots of freckles, and brown hair. I have small blue eyes, and small lips. I was wondering a) what kind or makeup would suit me well and b) what kind of face products should i apply, to make my skin less dry and maybe cover up some freckles...

    thnx!Makeup and skin care products??
    You sound so pretty!

Blue eyes are easily enhanced by gold and brown shadows. These are also very neutral colors that can be put on lightly to look super natural or heavily for a more dramatic look. Experiment!

I LOVE freckles, so I wouldn't cover them up if I were you! :( If you must, try a very sheer mineral powder. Check out Physicians Formula new line called ';Organic Wear';. All of their products are available at stores like Target, Rite Aid, Walmart, etc., so they're pretty easy to find. A basic powder will run about $13.

Are you using a nice moisturizer? I suggest checking out Aveeno's line of moisturizers. I'm currently using ';Ultra-Calming: which is meant to moisturize while reducing redness and soothing sensitive skin. If you have any blemishes, their ';Clear Complexion'; moisturizer works really well too. If you don't have super sensitive or ance-prone skin, you can't go wrong with ';Positively Radiant';. It's one of my absolute favorite lotions. I ran out a few weeks ago and have decided to finish my bottle of ';Ultra Calming'; before repurchasing. All of their lotions are available, again, at Target, Walmart, Rite Aid, etc.

I know that Almay makes a line of liquid foundations and powders meant for dry skin. You would have no problem finding your shade. I use their line of the same products for oily skin and have always been able to find a shade that matches my skin perfectly. Again, they're available at Target, Walmart, etc. (Jeez, you can get anything there!! Hehe.)

Hope this helped a bit! Feel free to email me with any more questions.

Take care and good luck!Makeup and skin care products??
i am pale and have lots of freckles, i hated them when i was a bit younger but i luv the now! i have blue eyes, and wearing a brown shade really makes mine pop, its maybelline, 'iced fudged', i wear mascara as well, the boujois volume glamour ultra black, its fab :) . . . . jus keep your lips moisturised wi vaseline! its the best thing and really cheap :)

id jus say to apply moisturiser everynight after removing all makeup and cleansing your face thoroughly! and if you wear foundation which i do, i apply moisturiser first, it helps it to blend in

    :)

The big thing you want to remember since you have dry skin is don't go with an oil free makeup or face wash. Your skin can really use that extra boost. For prepping your skin I would recommend visiting a store that sells dermalogica skin care. They will type you and tell you what products you need. They are pricey, but WELL worth the investment and last a long time:

For makeup, I would suggest trying a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. There is a real range of products on the market these days from high end department store brands right down to more affordable drug store options. The sheer tint will give you just enough coverage and let your beautiful freckles come out. Go really really light on your powder, just dust your t zone or even skip it all together.

Always use mascara. For your skin tone I would suggest a dark brown since you are fair.

Good luck! Hope this helps! :)
well first of all dont cover up your freckles! I love freckles they make people look gorgeous haha and if you hae small eyes, dont go darker go lighter on your eyemakeup. Oh and I suggest a shimmery lip plumper on your lips to make them bigger:) Oh and try a sheer liguid foundaion and maybe some brozer to make your skin darker. Hope I helped=D

help control oil... Sheer Finish Mattifying Gel or Daily Oil Control? Thank you.I have EXTREMELY oily skin and I am starting to use Proactiv. What is better to use daily under my makeup to?
the daily oil control works really well. and as for makeup u should try clinique. they have products that also help you control oily skin. i have used mattifying gels before but nothing has worked as well as the daily oil control.I have EXTREMELY oily skin and I am starting to use Proactiv. What is better to use daily under my makeup to?
Try no makeup for a change! use lip gloss and a little eye enhancement, and stop filling your pores and feeding the bacteria.
    Daily Oil Control
maybe try 1 side the gel and 1 side the oil control.. and just check each product works..

i have oily skin as well and use proactive. i do the daily oil control the toner 2x a day and i use the combination lotion at night only.. i never tried the mattifying gel, and i dont wear make up foundation or powder) so i dont know.. i think proactive sells make up (not sure how it might match your skin color) but i know i have seen some at the proactive booth at the mall.
